  • Philip Jessup proposed the idea of a transnational law course. His vision of the subject was broad, including public and private international law; state and non-state actors; business, administrative, and political affairs; as well as negotiation and litigation. Inspired by his idea, TLB is only constrained by its pursuit to address all law transcending national frontiers.

A Panel Discussion About The War on Terror, Guantanamo Bay, & Domestic Implications

UC Hastings is hosting a symposium presented by the ACS & Amnesty International entitled, "The War on Terror, Guantanomo Bay, and Domestic Implications". The speakers will address the rights of prisoners being held at Guantanomo Bay, domestic wire tapping, and the recent legislation regarding military commissions, the Geneva Conventions, and the USA's stance on torture.
